AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA AMENDING SECTION 9230.40 OF THE AZUSA
MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO YARDS IN THE R ZONES.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. Subsection (a) of Section 9230.40 of the Azusa
Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
"(a) Churches, schools, institutions, or other similar
uses when permitted in an 'R' zone shall have a side yard of at
least ten feet in width, provided, however, that there shall be
a side yard of at least twenty feet in width on the street side
of a corner lot in all 'R' zones other than the 'R3' zones: When
aforementioned uses are permitted in the 'R' zones, no required
front yard of any lot or side yard of the street side of a corner
lot shall be used for parking purposes. "
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this ordinance and shall publish the same as required by law.

I, JAMES MILLER, City Clerk of the City of Azusa, do hereby
certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 817 was regularly introduced
and placed upon its first reading at a regular meeting of the City
Council on the 20th day of July , 1964. That, thereafter,
said ordinance was adopted and passed at a regular meeting of the
City Council on the 3rd day of August , 1964, by the follow-
ing vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen: Rubio, Cooney, Jackson, McLees, Memmesheimer
NOES: Councilmen: None
ABSENT:Councilmen: None

I do further certify that caused said ordinance to be
published prior to the expiration of ifteen days from the passage
thereof in the Azusa Herald and Pomotropic, a newspaper of general
circulation, printed, published and circulated in the City of Azusa,
on theday of August , 1964, and that the same was published
