ORDINANCE NO. 806
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING
THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY
DESIGNATED EASTERLY ANNEXATION DISTRICT NO. 55
TO THE CITY OF AZUSA.
TIe City Council of the City of Azusa does ordain as follows:
WHEREAS, on the 6th day of January, 1964, the City Council
of the City of Azusa did pass and adopt Resolution No. 4583, giving
notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory to the
City of Azusa, said territory being therein designated as Easterly
Annexation District No. 55, and said resolution describing the boundaries
of the territory proposed to be annexed; and
WHEREAS, on the 2nd day of March, 1964, at the hour of 8:00
o 'clock P.M. in the Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City of
Azusa, County of Los Angeles, State of California, said time and place
being the day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution No. 4583 for
hearing of protests to said annexation, and upon succeeding dates to
which said hearing was adjourned, the said City Council did hear and
pass upon all protests made to the proposed annexation and did find and
determine by resolution that protests had not been made by the owners
of one-half of the value of the territory proposed to be annexed as shown
by the last equalized assessment roll, nor by public and private owners
of 'one-half of the value of the territory proposed to be annexed as
determined by said legislative body; and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Azusa,
and is uninhabited territory in the County of Los Angeles;
NOW, THEREFORE, the said City Council of the City of Azusa
does hereby approve the annexation of the territory hereinafter des-
cribed to the City of Azusa, and does hereby further ordain that the
said territory be and is hereby annexed to the City of Azusa.
That said territory, the annexation of which to the City of
Azusa is hereby approved, is all that territory situtate in the County of
Los Angeles, State of California, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a northeasterly corner of the original
incorporation of the City of Azusa as it existed on
December 27, 1898, said northeasterly corner also
being on a line parallel with and 25 feet northerly,
measured at right angles, from Course No. 15 as shown
on map of Rancho Azusa, recorded in the office of the
County Recorder, County of Los Angeles, in Patents,
Book 2, Pages 106 and 107, said parallel line being
also the northerly line of Sierra Madre Avenue, 50
feet wide; thence easterly along said parallel line to
the northerly prolongation of the most easterly line
of Lot 79-82, Subdivision No. 2 Azusa Land and Water
Company, as recorded in the office of the County
Recorder, County of Los Angeles, in Miscellaneous
Records, Book 43, Page 94, said most easterly line
also being the most easterly line of said Subdivision
No. 2, Azusa Land and Water Company; thence southerly
along said northerly prolongation and easterly line
of Lot 79-82, said Subdivision No. 2, Azusa Land and Water
Company a distance of 1792.00 feet; thence westerly and
parallel with said Course No. 15 to the existing easterly
boundary of the City of Azusa as it existed on October
29, 1963; thence northerly along said existing boundary
of the City of Azusa 1792.00 feet to said northeasterly
corner of the City of Azusa as it existed on December
27, 1898.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption
of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required
by law.
Passed and approved this 6th day of July , 1964.

I, JAMES MILER, City Clerk of the City of Azusa, do hereby
certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 806 was regularly intro-
duced and placed upon its first reading at a regular meeting of the
City Council on the 15th day of June , 1964. That, there-
after, said ordinance was duly adopted and passed at a regular meeting
of the City Council on the 6th day of July , 1964, by the
following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen: Cooney, Jackson, McLees, Memmesheimer
NOES: Councilmen: None
ABSENT:Councilmen: Rubio

published prior to the expiration of fifteen days from the passage
thereof in the Azusa Herald and Pomotropic, a newspaper of general
circulation, printed, published and circulated in the City of Azusa,
on the 15th day of July , 1964, and that the same was
published in accordance with law.
