AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA AMENDING THE AZUSA MUNICIPAL CODE TO REZONE
CERTAIN PROPERTY. (Volk - McLain, and others)
The City Council of the City of Azusa does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. The Azusa Municipal Code is hereby amended by
the addition thereto of a new Section 9207.57 which shall read as
follows:
"SECTION 9207.57. Zone Changes. Notwithstanding the
provisions of Section 9207 and the Zoning Map referred to
therein, the following described premises are hereby placed
and included in the R-3a Multiple Family Residential Zone,
to wit:
Parcel 1:
That portion of the southwest quarter of Section 2,
Township 1 South, Range 10 West, San Bernardino Meridian,
in the City of Azusa, County of Los Angeles, State of
California, according to the official plat of said
land filed in the District Land Office October 31,
1873, described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the center line of Broadway,
distant thereon South 89° 411 East 194.04 feet from the
center line of Azusa Avenue, as said roads are shown
on County Surveyor's Map No. 7942 on file in the office
of the Surveyor of said County; thence South 89° 411
East along the center line of Broadway 232.32 feet;
thence South 0° 041 East 489.64 feet; thence South
89° 411 East 231.66 feet; thence South 0° 041 East
464.64 feet; thence North 89° 41 + West 463.98 feet;
thence North 0° 041 West 954.28 feet to the point of
beginning.
EXCEPTING from said land the north 25 feet thereof
included within the lines of Broadway, as now established.
Parcel 2:
That portion of the southwest quarter of Section 2,
Township 1 South, Range 10 West, San Bernardino Meridian,
in the City of Azusa, County of Los Angeles, State of
California, according to the official plat of said land
filed in the District Land office October 31, 1873,
described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the center line of Broadway
distant thereon South 89° 411 00" East 194.04 feet from
the center line of Azusa Avenue as said roads are shown
on County Surveyor's Map No. 7942 on file in the office
of the Surveyor of said County; thence continuing South
89° 411 00" East 232.32 feet along the center line of
Broadway to the true point of beginning of this des-
cription; thence South 0° 041 00" East 489.64 feet;
thence South 89° 411 00" East 231.66 feet; thence North
0° 041 00" West 489.64 feet to the center line of Broad-
way; thence West along the center line of Broadway, a
distance of 231.66 feet to the true point of beginning
of this description.
EXCEPT therefrom the northerly 235.00 feet of the easterly
150.00 feet of said land.

ALSO EXCEPT from the remainder of said land the north
25.00 feet thereof included within the lines of
Broadway as now established.
Parcel 3:
That portion of the southwest quarter of Section 2,
Township 1 South, Range 10 West, San Bernardino Meridian,
in the City of Azusa, County of Los Angeles, State of
California, according to the official plat of said land
filed in the District Land Office October 31, 1873,
described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the west line of said southwest
quarter of Section 2, distant southerly thereon 291.25
feet from the northwest corner of said southwest quarter
of Section 2; thence southerly along said west line 638.03
feet; thence easterly parallel with the north line of
said southwest quarter of Section 2, a distance of 194.04
feet, more or less, to the west line of the parcel of
land described in Certificate of Title No. A. W. 18219
on file in the office of the Registrar of Land Titles of
said County; thence northerly along said last mentioned
west line 638.03 feet, more or less, to a line parallel
with the north line of said southwest quarter of Section
2 that passes through the point of beginning; thence
westerly along said last mentioned parallel line 194.04
feet, more or less, to the point of beginning.
EXCEPTING therefrom that portion included within Azusa
Avenue, as said avenue was established on January 6, 1925.
Parcel 4:
A portion of the southwest quarter of Section 2, T.1.S.,
R.10W, described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the westerly line of
Tract No. 19685, as per map recorded in Book 505, Pages
8 to 14 inclusive of Maps, in the office of the County
Recorder of the County of Los Angeles, with the southerly
line of the northerly 32.44 feet of the southwest quarter
of the southwest quarter of said Section 2; thence along
said southerly line north 89° 54' 53" west 300.00 feet
to a line parallel with and distant westerly 300.00 feet,
measured at right angles from said westerly line of said
Tract No. 19685; thence along said parallel line, north
0° 01' 48" east 466.69 feet to the most northerly north-
west corner of the land conveyed to Western American
Development Corporation, by deed recorded on May 14, 1963
as Instrument No. 5183, in Book D-2028, Page 511 of
Official Records, records of said County; thence along the
most northerly line of said land conveyed by said deed,
south 89° 35' 12" east 300.01 feet to said westerly line
of said Tract No. 19685; thence southerly along said
Westerly line to the point of beginning.
Parcel 5: All of Southerly Annexation District No. 57
to the City of Azusa, EXCEPT Lot 151 of Tract No. 19685,
the property of the Murray Elementary School, and all
that part of said annexation lying South of Renwick Road.
Parcel 6: All of Southerly Annexation District No. 58
to the City of Azusa. "

SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this ordinance and shall publish the same as required by law.

I, JAMES MILLER, City Clerk of the City of Azusa, do hereby
certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 803 was regularly intro-
duced and placed upon its first reading at a regular meeting of the
City Council on the 18th day of Maw_ , 1964. That, thereafter,
said ordinance was duly adopted and passed at a regular meeting of the
City Council on the 1st day of June , 1964, by the follow-
ing vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen: Rubio, Cooney, Jackson, McLees, Memmesheimer
NOES: Councilmen: None
ABSENT:Councilmen: None

I do further certify t4at I caused said ordinance to be
published prior to the expiration fifteen days from the passage
thereof in the Azusa Herald and Pomotropic, a newspaper of general
circulation, printed, published and circulated in the City of Azusa, on
the 10th day of June , 1964, and that the same was published
in accordance with law.
