AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING
THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY
DESIGNATED SOUTHERLY ANNEXATION DISTRICT NO. 58
TO THE CITY OF AZUSA.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does ordain as follows:
WHEREAS, on the 2nd day of March, 1964, the City Council
of the City of Azusa did pass and adopt Resolution No. 4613, giving
notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory to the
City of Azusa, said territory being therein designated as Southerly
Annexation District No. 58, and said resolution describing the boundaries
of the territory proposed to be annexed; and
WHEREAS, on the 20th day of April, 1964, at the hour of
8:00 o 'clock P.M. in the Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City
of Azusa, County of Los AngelesState of California, said time and place
being the day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution No. 4613 for
hearing of protests to said annexation, the said City Council did hear
and pass upon all protests made to the proposed annexation and did find
and determine by resolution that protests had not been made by the
owners of one-half of the value of the territory proposed to be annexed
as shown by the last equalized assessment roll, nor by public and private
owners of one-half of the value of the territory proposed to be annexed
as determined by said legislative body; and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Azusa,
and is uninhabited territory in the County of Los Angeles;
NOW, THEREFORE, the said City Council of the City of Azusa
does hereby approve the annexation of the territory hereinafter des-
cribed to the City of Azusa, and does hereby further ordain that the
said territory be and is hereby annexed to the City of Azusa.
That said territory, the annexation of which to the City of
Azusa is hereby approved, is all that territory situate in the County of
Los Angeles, State of California, more particularly described as follows:
That portion of the southeast 1/4 of the southwest 1/4 of
Section 2, Township 1 South, Range 10 West, San Bernardino
Base Meridian, as recorded in the District Land Office
located in the County of Los Angeles, State of California,
described as follows:
Commencing at a point of beginning on the easterly pro-
longation of the southerly line of Lot 264 of Tract No.
19685, as shown on map recorded in Book 505, pages 8
to 14 inclusive, of Maps, in the office of the Recorder
of the County of Los Angeles, distant N 89° 45 ' 14" E
thereon 20.00 feet from the southeast corner of said Lot
264 (said point also being an angle point in the boundary
of the City of Azusa as it existed on December 5, 1963);
thence S 0 11' 58" W along said boundary 350.03 feet to
an angle point in said boundary; thence N 88° 59, 10" W
along said boundary and its westerly prolongation 640.04
feet to the southerly prolongation

of Lot 313 of said Tract No. 19685,

E along said last mentioned prolongation and easterly
line and the northerly prolongation thereof a distance of
336.37 feet to the northeasterly corner of Lot 273 of
said Tract No. 19685, also being an angle point in the
southerly boundary of said Tract No. 19685; thence N 89°
451 14" E along said southerly boundary 640.00 feet to
the point of beginning.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption
of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required
by law.

certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 798 was regularly intro-
duced and placed upon its first reading at a regular meeting of the
City Council on the 4th day of May , 1964. That there-
after, said ordinanci—iigi7 duly adopted and passed at a regular meeting
of the City Council on the 18th day of May , 1964, by the
following vote, to-wit:
