ORDINANCE NO. 776
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA AMENDING THE PROVISIONS OF THE AZUSA
MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO THE LICENSING OF
HOSPITALS, SANITARIUMS, CONVALESCENT HOMES
AND SIMILAR INSTITUTIONS.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does ordain as
follows:
SECTION 1. The Azusa Municipal Code is hereby amended by
the addition thereto of a new Section 6143.1 reading as follows:
"SECTION 6143.1. HOSPITALS, SANITARIUMS, CONVALESCENT
HOMES, NURSING HOMES AND REST HOMES.
Every person engaged in the business of conducting or
operating any hospital, sanitarium, convalescent home, nursing
home or rest home shall pay an annual license tax computed as
follows:
$18.00 for each such business employing five persons or
less, and $25 for each such business employing more
than five persons. "
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this ordinance and shall publish the same as required by law.

I, JAMES MILLER, City Clerk of the City of Azusa, do hereby
certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 776 was regularly introduced
and placed upon its first reading at a regular meeting of the City
Council on the 16th day of December , 1963. That,
thereafter, said ordinance was duly adopted and passed at a regular
meeting of the City Council on the 6th day of January ,
1964 , by the following vote, to-wit:
AYES: Councilmen: Memmesheimer, Cooney, Jackson, McLees, Ortuno
NOES: Councilmen: None
ABSENT:Councilmen: None

I do further certify tha ` Icaused said ordinance to be
published prior to the expiration of fifteen days from the passage
thereof in the Azusa Herald and Pomotropic, a newspaper of general
circulation, printed, published and circulated in the City of Azusa,
on the 15th day of January , 1964 , and that the same was
published in accordance with law.
