AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING
THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY
DESIGNATED SOUTHERLY ANNEXATION DISTRICT NO. 51
TO THE CITY OF AZUSA.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does ordain as follows:
WHEREAS, on the 16th day of September, 1963, the City Council
of the City of Azusa did pass and adopt Resolution No. 4537, giving
notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory to the
City of Azusa, said territory being therein designated as Southerly
Annexation District No. 51, and said resolution describing the
boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed; and
WHEREAS, on the 4th day of November, 1963, at the hour of
8:00 o 'clock P.M. in the Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City
of Azusa, County of Los Angeles, State of California, said time and
place being the day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution No. 4537
for hearing of protests to said annexation, the said City Council did
hear and pass upon all protests made to the proposed annexation and did
find and determine by resolution that protests had not been made by the
owners of one-half of the value of the territory proposed to be annexed
as shown by the last equalized assessment roll, nor by public and
private owners of one-half of the value of the territory proposed to be
annexed as determined by said legislative body; and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Azusa,
and is uninhabited territory in the County of Los Angeles;
NOW, THEREFORE, the said City Council of the City of Azusa
does hereby approve the annexation of the territory hereinafter des-
cribed to the City of Azusa, and does hereby further ordain that the
said territory be and is hereby annexed to the City of Azusa.
That said territory, the annexation of which to the City of
Azusa is hereby approved, is all that territory situate in the County
of Los Angeles, State of California, more particularly described as
follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the southerly boundary of
Tract No. 19809 as recorded in Book 520, Pages 34 to 40
inclusive, of Maps, in the office of the County Recorder,
County of Los Angeles, with the northerly prolongation of
the easterly line of Cerritos Avenue, 40 feet wide,
declared a public highway as noted in Road Book 14, Page
379, on file in the office of the Board of Supervisors
of said county, (said point also being an angle point
in the boundary of the City of Azusa as it existed on
July 31, 1963); thence S 89° 351 01" E along said southerly
boundary to the northerly prolongation of the westerly line
of Lot 1 of Tract No. 19225 as recorded in Book 482, Pages
34 to 36 inclusive, of said Maps; thence S 0° 141 36" W
along said northerly prolongation and westerly line and
the southerly prolongation thereof to the northeast corner
of Tract No. 19896 as recorded in Book 621, Pages 58 and
59 of said Maps; thence N 89° 54' 53" W along the northerly
line of said Tract No. 19896 to the northwest corner of Lot
8 of said Tract No. 19896; thence S 0° 111 58" W along the
easterly line of Cerritos Avenue, 80 feet wide, as shown
on map of said Tract No. 19896 to an angle point in the
boundary of the City of Azusa as it existed July 31, 1963;
thence westerly and northerly along said boundary of the
City of Azusa to the point of beginning.

The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption
of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required
by law.

I, JAMES MILLER, City Clerk of the City of Azusa, do hereby
certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 767 was regularly intro-
duced and placed upon its first reading at a regular meeting of the
City Council on the 4th day of November ,1963. That, there-
after, said ordinance was dulyadopted and passed at a regular meeting
of the City Council on the lth day of November , 1963, by the
following vote, to-wit:

NOES: Councilmen: None

I do further certify that- 1 caused said ordinance to be
published prior to the expiration of fifteen days from the passage
thereof in the Azusa Herald and Pomotropic, a newspaper of general
circulation, printed, published and circulated in the City of Azusa,

lished in accordance with law. - )
