The City Council of the City of Azusa met in
adjourned session at the above time and place.
Present at Roll Call:
Councilmen: Fawcett, Johnson, Romero, Memmesheimer
Absent: Councilman Ortuno
Also present: Deputy City Clerk Joan McKinney
Councilman Romero offered the following resolution,
to be placed upon its second reading, and entitled:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY" OF
AZUSA FIXING THE AI1I0UNT OF iIOPTEY NECESSARY TO BE
RAISED Bi' TAXATION FOR THE CURP,_I]T FISCAL YEAR

Moved by Councilman Romero, seconded by Councilman
Fawcett and unanimously carried, further reading
of this ordinance be waived.
Moved by Councilman Fawcett, seconded by Councilman
Romero, this ordinance be adopted. This ordinance
was adopted by the following vote:

of money to be
raised by
taxation.
Ayes: Councilmen: Fawcett, Johnson, Romero,
Memme sheimer
Noes: None
Absent: Councilman Ortuno and numbered Ordinance No. 550.
Councilman Romero offered the following ordinance
to be placed upon its second reading, and entitled:

AZUSA FIXING THE RATES OF TAXES AND LEVYING TAXES
FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 11 1957•
Moved by Councilman Romero, seconded by Councilman
Fawcett, further reading of this ordinance be
waived. Motion carried unanimously.
Moved by Councilman Fawcett, seconded by Council-
man Romero, this ordinance be adopted. This
ordinance was then adopted by the following vote:

Noes: None
Absent: Councilman Ortuno and numbered Ord. No. 551.

Moved by Councilman Fawcett, seconded by Councilman
Romero and so ordered, further reading of this reso-
lution be waived.
Moved by Councilman Fawcett, seconded by Councilman
Romero and unanimously carried, this resolution be
adopted.
Absent: Councilman Ortuno and numbered Resolution No. 3648
Councilman Fawcett offered the following resolution
entitled:

Romero, and unanimously carried, this resolution be
adopted.

A -letter was received from the Los Angeles Airways,
Inc. advising Council of their plans ccncerning Heliport
the inauguration of service into the City. A progress
specific service pattern has been submitted to the
C.A.B. and upon receipt of their approval, the city
will be advised in order that construction may com-
mence on the Azusa Heliport.
Moved by Councilman Johnson, seconded by Councilman
Fawcett, letter be filed. With no objections,
motion so ordered.
A request was sibmitted by the Police Chief, and
the City Engineer, stating the traffic condition Request for
at the intersection of Coney and Hollyvale Streets Stop Sign on
and asking that authorization be given for the Coney
erection of a stopsign on Coney Avenue at Holly -
vale St. Moved by Councilman Fawcett, seconded
by Councilman Johnson, the request be granted and
Attorney be instructed to prepare the necessary
resolution. With no objections, motion ordered
carried.
A joint meeting scheduled between Council and the
members of the Community Redevelopment Agency
Joint Council -
relating to the "Workable Program" submitted by
Redevelopment
the Agency, was postponed due to the absence of
Agency meeting
of Mr. Tscharner, Atty. for the Agency and the
postponed
representative of the State who was also to be
present.
Moved by Councilman Johnson, seconded by �'ouncil-
man Romero and so ordered, the scheduling of
another meeting be postponed unt1l the next
regular Council meeting.
Moved by Councilman Johnson, seconded by Council-
man Romero and duly carried, meeting adjourn.
