Dear Sirs:
We have just recieved notification that two or more of our satellite
services will be moving to another satellite.
We presently have on file with the planning commission an application
to move our earth station, but with the approval time required, we
will not be able to commence construction until after January 10th.
We therefore respectfully request you grant us special emergency
authority to commence construction. With this special authorization
we acknowledge that should we for some reason be turned down by the
planning commission, we will at no obligation on the city's part
remove the structure in 90 days or less.
Gentlemen, without this special emergency authority we will lose
some of our services as we did last August with Galavision. I
might add that with this new earth station, we will again be able
to reinstate Galavision within 90 Days.
Thank you.

Dear Sirs:
Jones Intercable Fund 10-C, respectfully requests that the City Council
of Azusa extend our franchise which expires on January 2, 1994, an addi-
tional five (5) years.
Over the past year that Jones Intercable has operated the cable system
in Azusa, we have made several improvements in that existing system.
During this time we have conxuitted in excess of $68,000 on the Head-end
equipment. This equipment receives and processes various signals. As
this equipment is delivered and installed, the picture quality will im-
prove as well as the system reliability.
Over the past 90 days, we have completed approximately 12 miles of new
underground construction at a cost of $39,400.
In an effort to improve our response time on service requests, we have
installed two-way radios in all of our service vehicles and hired a
dispatcher. We have spent $19,000 on test equipment and tools. We have
also purchased a new bucket truck which will be delivered on December
15th that will be equipped with a generator which will give the system
stand-by power.
In June of '83, Jones Intercable hired Michael Worrell as the Chief
Technician for the Azusa system. Michael has had in excess of 10 years
experience in electronics. He also has a First Class FCC license.
The cost of test equipment, radios, truck, and an increase in salaries
for Michael Worrell and the dispatcher represents approximately $50,600.

Mayor Moses
Members of the Azusa City Council
Presently on file with the Planning Commission in the City of Azusa,
is an application to relocate our earth station from the gravel pit
to our San Gabriel property. Tied-in with this allocation is also a
proposal to not only clean up the property located at 174 North San
Gabriel but to also take the southern portion of that property and
turn it into a mini-park. The planned expenditure on this project
is $22,000.
As you can readily see, Jones Tntercable is not only insterested in:
providing the City of Azusa with the latest State of the Art system,
but also being a part of the community.
Gentlemen, without this five year extension, we will not be able to
acquire long term financing and will be unable to continue this expan-
sion.
On behalf of the people of Azusa, your constituents and our customers,
I respectfully request that you adopt the enclosed resolution.
Thank you.
S'n ly,
