AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA AMENDING THE AZUSA MUNICIPAL CODE TO ADOPT
THE "LOS ANGELES COUNTY BUILDING LAWS, 1962 EDITION"
AND TO MAKE CERTAIN CHANGES THEREIN.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 8100 of the Azusa Municipal Code is
hereby amended to read as follows:
"SECTION 8100. ADOPTING CODES.
Subject to the changes and amendments hereinafter set forth
in this Chapter, that certain code entitled 'Los Angeles County
Building Laws, 1962 Edition', consisting of a published compilation
of rules, regulations and standards adopted by the County, an
agency of the State, set forth therein in three parts, to-wit,
Building Code, Electrical Code and Plumbing Code, three full
printed copies of which, printed as a code in book form, were by
the City Council ordered filed and which have been actually filed
in the office of the City Clerk, and which as so on file are hereby
referred to and by this reference expressly incorporated herein and
made a part hereof as fully and for all intents and purposes as
though set forth herein at length, shall be and the same is hereby
adopted and established as the rules, regulations, standards, pro-
visions and conditions to be observed and followed in the con-
struction, erection, enlargement, razing, alteration, repairing,
removal, maintenance, moving, use, area and height of buildings
and structures and certain equipment therein, and grading, in the
installation, arrangement, alteration, repair, use and operation of
electric wiring, connections, fixtures and other electrical
appliances, and in the regulation of sanitary plumbing and drainage
systems, house sewers and private sewage disposal systems within
the City, and the various parts of said Code shall constitute the
Building Code, Electrical Code and Plumbing Code, respectively,
of and for the City. "
SECTION 2. The first paragraph of Section 8103.2 of the Azusa
Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows :
"Section 203 of said Building Code is hereby amended by the
addition thereto of a new subsection (d) and a new subsection (e)
reading respectively as follows: "
SECTION 3. Section 8103.4 of the Azusa Municipal Code is
hereby amended to read as follows:
"SECTION 8103.4. SAME. DELETIONS.
Said Building Code so adopted is hereby amended by deleting
therefrom Sections 204, 205, 207 and 307, and Chapter 99. "
SECTION 4. Section 8103.5 of the Azusa Municipal Code is
hereby amended to read as follows:
"SECTION 8103.5. SAME. HOMES FOR AGED AND FOR CHILDREN.
Division 3 under Section 901 of said Building Code is hereby
amended to read as follows:
'Division 3. Nursing homes for one or more ambulatory
patients, homes for six or more children of kindergarten age or
older, and homes for the aged accommodating one or more aged
persons. ' "

SECTION 5. Sections 8108 and 8109 of the Azusa Municipal
Code are hereby repealed.
SECTION 6. Changes heretofore made by the Azusa Municipal
Code in the Los Angeles County Building Laws, 1958 Edition, shall remain
in effect and apply to the Los Angeles County Building Laws, 1962 Edition,
except as herein otherwise expressly set forth.
SECTION 7. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this ordinance and shall publish the same as required by law.

I, MIBIZKOLUM City Clerk of the City of Azusa, do hereby
certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 741 was regularly introduced
and placed upon its first reading at a regular meeting of the City Council
on the 18th day of March , 1963. That, thereafter, said ordi-
nance was duly adopted and passed at a regular meeting of the City Council
on the 15th day of April , 1963, by the following vote, to-
wit:

I do further certify that I caused said ordinance to be

in the Azusa Herald and Pomotropic, a newspaper of general circulation,

with law.
