AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA AMENDING SECTION 4129 OF THE AZUSA MUNICIPAL
CODE RELATING TO VACCINATION OF IMPOUNDED DOGS.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 4129 of the Azusa Municipal Code is
hereby amended to read as follows:
"SECTION 4129. VACCINATION OF DOGS IMPOUNDED.
Whenever any dog impounded for any reason or as a stray is
redeemed at the City Pound, said dog will not be released until it
shall have been vaccinated with rabies vaccine as provided in
this Chapter or until adequate provision has been made for such
vaccination. The person redeeming said dog shall pay, in advance
of release, to the poundmaster the necessary fee to cover the
vaccination. The poundmaster may remove said dog to a veterinarian
for such vaccination. The poundmaster shall demand and collect a
license fee for said dog, including any penalty fee as provided
in this Chapter, whenever it is determined said dog has not been
currently and validly licensed. All impound fees shall likewise be
due and payable. "
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this ordinance and shall publish the same as required by law.

I, JAMES MILLER, City Clerk of the City of Azusa, do hereby
certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 740 was regularly introduced
and placed upon its first reading at a regular meeting of the City Council
on the 4th day of March , 1963. That, thereafter, said
ordinance was duly adopted and passed at a regular meeting of the City
Council on the 18th day of March , 1963, by the following vote,
to-wit:
AYES: Councilmen: Memmesheimer, Cooney, Jackson, McLees, Ortuno
NOES: Councilmen: None
ABSENT:Councilmen: None

thereof in the Azusa Herald and Pomotropic, a newspaper of general circu-
lation, printed, published and circulated in the City of Azusa, on the
