HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 718 ORDINANCE NO.. 718 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA AMENDING SECTION 2205 OF THE AZUSA MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO THE TAX LEVY FOR LIBRARY PURPOSES. The City Council of the City of Azusa does ordain as follows: SECTION 1. Section 2205 of the Azusa Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: "SECTION 2205. TAX LEVY FOR LIBRARY. The City Council shall, in making the annual tax levy and as a part thereof, levy tax for the purpose of maintaining such library and purchasing property necessary therefor, which tax shall be in addition to other taxes, the levy of which is permitted in the municipality; provided that such levy shall not exceed the rate permitted by Section 27402 of the Education Code of the State of California. " SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and shall publish the same as required by law.
