AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA AMENDING SECTION 2205 OF THE AZUSA MUNICIPAL
CODE RELATING TO THE TAX LEVY FOR LIBRARY PURPOSES.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. Section 2205 of the Azusa Municipal Code is
hereby amended to read as follows:
"SECTION 2205. TAX LEVY FOR LIBRARY.
The City Council shall, in making the annual tax levy and
as a part thereof, levy tax for the purpose of maintaining such
library and purchasing property necessary therefor, which tax
shall be in addition to other taxes, the levy of which is permitted
in the municipality; provided that such levy shall not exceed the
rate permitted by Section 27402 of the Education Code of the State
of California. "
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
ordinance and shall publish the same as required by law.

I, JAMES MILLER, City Clerk of the City of Azusa, do hereby
certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 718 was regularly introduced
and placed upon its first reading at a regular meeting of the City Council
on the 15th day of October , 1962. That, thereafter, said ordinance
was duly adopted and passed at a regular meeting of the City Council on
the 5th day of November , 1962, by the following vote, to-wit:
AYES: Councilmen: Memmesheimer, Cooney, McLees, Ortuno
NOES: Councilmen: None .
ABSENT:Councilmen: Jackson }

published prior to the expiration of fifteen days from the passage
thereof in the Azusa Herald and Pomotropic, a newspaper of general
circulation, printed, published and circulated in the City of Azusa, on
