appeared before the Council relative to the Master
Park Plan
Plan which had been adopted for the Park. The prop-
for Northaide
erty owners appearing were: Mrs. A. Meier, Mr. and
Park
Mrs- P. Brecht, Mr- and Mrs. R. Pierce, and Mr. Ed.
-Brands, all residents of North -Orange Avenue- It
was requested by these people that additional land
be granted as a buffer so as to save the trees that
were, planted in the area at the rear of their prop-
erties. A misunderstanding had shown up due to the
placement of stakes whereby it appeared that paving
is uld extend to within 5 feet of the property line.
It was pointed out that these stakes were "off set"
and that the paving would stop 12 feet from the
-•property line at the northern most part and extend-
ing to a Width of approximately 40 feet at the widest
section opposite the Brecht property. It was further
pointed out that this plan showing the 12 feet plus
distance from the property linea was approved by the
property owners and the Park and Recreation Commission
at a meeting some months earlier. The plans as ap-
proved by the Park and Recreation Commission would
allow for the planting of shrubs, etc- in this 12
foot buffer strip by the City. It was the opinion
of the Council that the plan as approved by the
-Commission and the Council should be -followed.
