A regular meeting of the Personnel Board was called to order at 6:37 p.m. in the West Wing Conference Room by Jake
Bushey, Chair.

Merit Increases, Regular Allen/Kloster - to recommend approval of merit increases, regular appointment and/or
appointment and/or flexible staffing promotional appointments for the following employees. To recommend the
Flexible Staffing Promotion Employee Performance Evaluation for Director of Human Resources be carried over to the
Appointment next regular meeting of the Personnel Board as it had not been reviewed with the employee.

SUBJECT: REQUEST FOR OPEN RECRUITMENT-WATER UTILITY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR
This memorandum is to request an OPEN recruitment for the position of Water Utility Equipment
Operator. Azusa Light&Water is requesting an Open recruitment at this time to fill this vacancy,
as the external candidate pool is expected to be strong.
Under limited supervision,the Water Utility Equipment Operator operates heavy construction and
maintenance equipment in performing utility excavating,grading, trenching, loading and related
operations according to required standards. This position also performs semi-skilled and skilled
maintenance tasks and performs related duties as required.

The Information Technology Department has the need to fill the position of Information
Technology(IT)Analyst(initially created in January 2002). This is position will perform installation
maintenance and operation of information technology hardware, software and network
communication services and a focus on financial applications or accounting systems.
It is requested that the recruitment process for the IT Analyst be an OPEN recruitment. This
position is unique in its requirement for experience with financial applications and accounting
systems. Therefore, the request is for a broad recruitment.
