A regular meeting of the Personnel Board was called to order at 7:35 p.m. in the West Wing Conference Room by Jake
Bushey, Chair.
ATTENDANCE Personnel Board Members: Jake Bushey (Chair), Lori Kloster(Vice Chair), Lee Ann Mickey,

SUBJECT: REQUEST FOR RECRUITMENTS- ELECTRICAL CREW SUPERVISOR AND
APPRENTICE LINE MECHANIC
The above listed positions are currently vacant and are essential to the basic operations of Azusa
Light and Water.
The Electrical Crew Supervisor is the first line supervisor leading a crew of Line Mechanics. This
position is key to the daily operations of the Electric Division and maintenance of the City's
electric service. It is requested that this vacancy be filled through a PROMOTIONAL recruitment,
as there is a strong internal candidate pool.
The Apprentice Line Mechanic is another position key to the overall operations of the Electric
Division and maintenance of the City's ability to provide power to residents. This position is an
apprentice level designed to provide on-the-job training in hopes that the incumbent is then able
to promote into the journey level Line Mechanic. It is requested that an OPEN recruitment be
conducted, as this position even at the apprentice level, requires specific and unique skills and
abilities.
