SUBJECT: WAIVER OF FEES
RECOMMENDATION
Waiver of fees for ballfield use Friday-Sunday, December 1-3, 2000 at Northside Park. This
request is being presented on behalf of the Azusa Bombers Baseball Club who have been
approved to host a Toys for Tots Baseball Tournament on the same weekend.
SUMMARY
Presentation was made and approved at the Thursday, October 19, 2000 meeting of the
Recreation and Parks Commission. In lieu of fees, Bombers will donate approximately$1,200.00
worth of toys (120 participants x $10.00 min. value toy donation) to Azusa Recreation's
Christmas Shopping for Kids Program. (see attached flyer)
BACKGROUND
The Christmas Shopping for Kids Program held Saturday, December 9, 2000 is a successful
department fund raising program designed to subsidize youth sports and recreation program fees
to families in need. This program is facilitated by the Azusa Youth Program (A.Y.P.)
FISCAL IMPACT
Loss of fees ($600.00) would be offset by the value of donation.

GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS
These rules and regulations apply to all individuals, groups and organizations using facilities.
1. Only dances sponsored by the Recreation Department shall be held in the Recreation Center.
2. Sunday and Holiday use of the building facilities shall be prohibited unless special permission is granted by the
Commission.
3. Applications for usage which involves the possibility of damage to City property may be denied. In any event, th.
person or persons signing the application shall be liable for damages resulting from such use.
4. Any changing of stage equipment or furniture, of the building or room, is not permitted, except with the
permission or supervision of the assigned person in charge.
5. No intoxicants or narcotics shall be permitted in the premises; neither shall profane language, gambling,
quarreling or fighting be permitted.
6. If the use of the kitchen equipment or dishes is involved, the kitchen and equipment must be left clean and read
for use the next day.
7. Regularly scheduled groups who fail to notify the Recreation Office of cancellations shall, after three
consecutive times, automatically be taken off the calendar. For reinstatement, a new application must be
submitted for approval.
8. All functions she!! be expected to close not later than 10:00 p.m. Allowance may be made in special
circumstances.
FEES
A. All fees must be paid at the Recreation Office no later than five days prior to scheduled date of use.
B. The following fee schedule shall prevail for use of Memorial Park Recreation Center and other
Recreation Buildings:
