HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Packet - August 2, 1976 - CC 8H TO: City Council and City Administrator FROM: Planning Director DATE: August 2, 1976 SUBJECT: Bikeway and Pedestrian funding under SB 821 for 1976-1977 Last year we joined with the cities of Baldwin Park, Covina, Glendora, La Puente, San Dimas, Walnut, West Covina, and the County of Los Angeles in preperation of the "East San Gabriel Valley Bikeway Master Plan". As a result we became eligible for funding under SB 821 for implementation of the master plan. Last year' s funding amounted to $5,370. If Azusa is interested in obtaining funding under SB 821 for 1976-1977 for further implementation of the bikeway master plan, a joint application must be filed prior to August 16, 1976. The maximum amount Azusa could receive for this year would be $5, 100. It is recommended that the City Council authorize filing the necessary application again designating the City Administrator as authorized representative for making claims and naming the City of San Dimas the recipiant of the funds (funds will be distributed to the individual cities by San Dimas) .
