ORDINANCE NO. 647
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA AMENDING THE AZUSA MUNICIPAL CODE TO REZONE
CERTAIN PROPERTY SUBJECT TO ANNEXATION.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. The Azusa Municipal Code is hereby amended by the
addition thereto of a new Section 9207.7 reading as follows:
"SECTION 9207.7. Zone Changes. C-3 Zone. Notwithstanding
the provisions of Section 9207 and the Zoning Map referred to
therein, the following described premises are hereby placed
and included in the C-3 General Commercial Zone, effective upon
annexation thereof to the City of Azusa, to-wit:
Lot 87 in Subdivision No. 2 of Azusa Land and Water
Company, in the County of Los Angeles, State of California,
as shown on map recorded in Book 43 page 94 of Miscellaneous
Records, in the office of the County Recorder of said County.
EXCEPT the land described in the deed to Moses T. Durrell,
recorded as Instrument No. 69 on July 6, 1903 in book
1842 page 20 of Deeds, in the office of the said County
Recorder, more particularly described as follows:
That portion of Lot 87, as per map of Subdivision No. 2
of Azusa Land and Water Company recorded in book 43 page
94 of Miscellaneous Records of said county described as
follows:
Commencing at a point on the north line of Centre Street
from which point a point in the center of Centre Street
bears South 50 feet and from said last mentioned point
in the center line of Centre Street the center stone at
the intersection of the center line of Pasadena Avenue
and Centre Street bears West 1153.44 feet; thence from
said point of commencement on the North side of Centre
Street North 1058.80 feet to a point on the south side
of right of way of the Southern California Railway;
thence east along said right of way 24.65 feet to a point;
thence south 1058.80 feet to the north line of Centre
Street; thence west 24.65 feet to beginning, containing
6/10 acre, a little more or less, and the said Moses T.
Durrell hereby quitclaims and conveys to said Azusa Foot-
Hill Citrus Company all his right and title and interest
to any and all lands east of the last above described
lines.
ALSO EXCEPT that portion, if any, of the land described
in the deed to Southern California Railway Company,
recorded as Instrument No. 32 on February 24, 1890, in
book 626 page 166 of Deeds, records of said County. "
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required by
law.
Passed and approved this 17th day of October , 1960.

I, GEORGE CASWELL, Deputy City Clerk of the City of Azusa,
do hereby certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 647 was regularly
introduced and placed upon its first reading at a regular meeting of
the City Council on the 3rd day of October , 1960. That, thereafter,
said ordinance was duly adopted and passed at a regular meeting of the
City Council on the 17th day of October , 1960, by the following
vote, to-wit:
AYES: Councilmen: Paul, McLees, Johnson, Teasley, Ortuno
NOES: Councilmen: None
ABSENT:Councilmen: None

I do further certify that I caused said Ordinance to be
published prior to the expiration of fifteen days from the passage
thereof in the Azusa Herald and Pomotropic, a newspaper of general
circulation, printed, published and circulated in the City of Azusa,
on the 24th day of October , 1960, and that the same was
published in accordance with law.
