HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 641 ORDINANCE NO. 641 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA CONSENTING TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A PORTION OF LARK ELLEN AVENUE AS A COUNTY HIGHWAY AND TO THE IMPROVEMENT THEREOF. WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles has adopted a resolution declaring Lark Ellen Avenue between Gladstone Street and a point approximately 100 feet southerly of the Little Dalton Wash to be a County Highway and declaring the intention of the County to improve the same, and WHEREAS, the consent of the City of Azusa is required pursuant to Section 1701 of the Streets and Highways Code; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Azusa does ordain as follows: SECTION 1. That the City Council of the City of Azusa consent, and it does hereby consent, to the inclusion of said portion of Lark Ellen Avenue as a part of the system of highways of the County of Los Angeles and to the improvement thereof by said County by the acquisition of necessary rights of way and the construction of curbs, gutters, walks, drainage structures and appurtenant work. SECTION 2. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required by law and shall transmit a certified copy thereof to the Board of Super- visors of the County of Los Angeles.
