AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA, LOS ANGET.FS COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING
THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY
DESIGNATED SOUTHERLY ANNEXATION DISTRICT NO. 37
REVISED TO THE CITY OF AZUSA.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does ordain as
follows:
WHEREAS, on the 15th day of February, 1960, the City Council
of the City of Azusa did pass and adopt Resolution No. 4007 giving
notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited territory to the
City of Azusa, said territory being therein designated as Southerly
Annexation District No. 37 Revised, and said resolution describing
the boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed; and
WHEREAS, on the 4th day of April, 1960, at the hour of 8:00
o' clock P.M. in the Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City of
Azusa, County of Los Angeles, State of California, said time and place
being the day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution No. 4007 for
hearing of protests to said annexation, the said City Council did hear
and pass upon all protests made to the proposed annexation and did
determine that protests had not been made by the owners of one-half
of the value of the territory proposed to be annexed as shown by the
last equalized assessment roll, nor by public and private owners of
one-half of the value of the territory proposed to be annexed as
determined by said legislative body; and
WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Azusa,
and is uninhabited territory in the County of Los Angeles;
NOW, THEREFORE, the said Council of the City of Azusa does
hereby approve the annexation of the territory hereinafter described
to the City of Azusa, and does hereby further ordain that the said
territory be and is hereby annexed to the City of Azusa.
That said territory, the annexation of which to the City
of Azusa is hereby approved, is all that territory situate in the County
of Los Angeles, State of California, more particularly described as
follows :
Beginning at the intersection of the center line of Arrow
Highway, 100 feet wide, also being the South city limits of the
City of Azusa, as same existed on January 12, 1960, with the
center line of Cerritos Avenue, 40 feet wide, declared a public
highway as noted in Road Book 14, page 379, on file in the
office of the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles;
thence Easterly along said South city limits and center line
of Arrow Highway 644.84 feet more or less to the Westerly line
of the "Southerly Annexation District No. 25" to the City of
Azusa; thence Southerly along said Westerly line to a line par-
allel to and distant 40 feet from said center line of Arrow
Highway,said parallel line also being the North city limits
of the City of Covina as same existed on said date; thence
Westerly along said North city limits and said parallel line
to a line that is perpendicular thereto and that passes
through the southwesterly terminus of that certain course
described as having a bearing and length of South 54° 40' 07"
West 34.80 feet in Parcel A of Final Order of Condemnation in
Case No. 640517 of the Superior Court of the State of Cal-
ifornia in and for said county, a certified copy of which is

recorded in Book 50952, page 81 of Official Records, in the
office of said recorder; thence Northerly 90 feet to said
southwesterly terminus; thence northeasterly along said certain
course 34.80 feet; thence westerly along the northerly line of
said Parcel A a distance of 17.71 feet, more or less to the
southeasterly corner of Parcel 694 as shown on County Surveyor' s
Filed Map No. 20024, Sheet 2, on file in the office of the
Engineer of said county; thence along the easterly line of said
last mentioned parcel North 15° 37' 28" East 43.57 feet to the
southeasterly line of Parcel 100, as shown on said last men-
tioned map; thence northeasterly and easterly along the south-
easterly and southerly lines of said Parcel 100 and Parcels
406 to 410 inclusive as shown on said last mentioned map
through the following courses : North 540 54' 51" East to the
beginning of a curve concave to the southeast and having a
radius of 781.00 feet, northeasterly and easterly along said
curve through a central angle of 350 591 19" and South 89°
05' 50" East to the city limits of the City of Azusa, being
the boundary of "Annexation District No. 7 ` to the City of
Azusa; thence along the boundary of said last mentioned an-
nexation, Southerly 170 feet more or less, Easterly 110 feet,
Southerly 200 feet, Westerly 50 feet, Southerly 113 feet
more or less, and Easterly 512.80 feet more or less to the
point of beginning.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of
this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required by
law.

I, JAMES MILLER, City Clerk of the City of Azusa, do hereby
certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 630 was regularly intro-
duced and placed upon its first reading at a regular meeting of the City
Council on the 4th day of April , 1960. That, thereafter, said
ordinance was duly adopted and passed at a regular meeting of the City
Council on the 18th day of April , 1960, by the following vote,
to-wit:
AYES: Councilmen: Paul, Ortuno, Johnson, Teasley, Memmesheimer
NOES: Councilmen: None
ABSENT:Councilmen: None

I do further certify that I caused said Ordinance to be
published prior to the expiration of fifteen days from the passage
thereof in the Azusa Herald and Pomotropic, a newspaper of general
circulation, printed, published and circulated in the City of Azusa,
on the 25th day of April , 1960, and that the same was published
in accordance with law.
