AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA AMENDING PROVISIONS OF ORDINANCE NO. 535
RELATING TO PARKING REQUIREMENTS IN THE M ZONES.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does ordain as
follows :
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby find and determine
that the following amendment of the zoning ordinance was duly initiated,
that notice of hearing thereon was duly given and published, that
public hearings thereon were duly held by the Planning Commission and
by the City Council, and that the public convenience, necessity and
general welfare and good zoning practice require that the following
amendment be made.
SECTION 2. Paragraph 10 of subsection (b) of Section
9230.51 of Ordinance No. 535, passed and approved on the 6th day of
May, 1957, is hereby amended to read as follows :
•
"10. For industrial and manufacturing establishments,
and similar uses permitted intthe M Zones, at least one (1)
parking space for each one and one-half (1-1/2) persons employed
at one time in said building or on said premises, or one (1)
parking space for each five hundred (500) square feet of gross
floor area or a portion thereof in excess of two hundred and
fifty (250) square feet, exclusive of parking and loading
space, whichever is the greatest -- provided, however, each
industrial and manufacturing site shall have a minimum of six
(6) parking spaces. The required parking spaces shall be
located on the same lot with the industrial or manufacturing
establishment or within four hundred (400) feet thereof. "
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published as required
by law.

certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 619 was regularly introduced
and passed upon its first reading at a regular meeting of the City
Council on the 11th day of govbet , 1959. That, thereafter, said
ordinance was duly adopted an passed at a regular meeting of the City
Council on the 15th day of December , 1959, by the following vote,
to-wit :
AYES: Councilmen: Johnson, Teasley, Memmesheimer
NOES: Councilmen: None
ABSENT:Councilmen: Paul, Ortuna

I do further certify that I caused said Ordinance to be
published prior to the expiration of fifteen days from the passage
thereof in the Azusa Herald and Pomotropic, a newspaper of general
circulation, printed, published and circulated in the City of Azusa,
on the 24th day of December , 1959, and that the same was published
in accordance with law.
