HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 606 ORDINANCE NO. 606 v\ AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA AMENDING SECTION 13.01 OF ORDINANCE NO. 438 RELATING TO ONE-WAY STREETS. The City Council of the City of Azusa does ordain as follows: SECTION 1. Section 13.01 of Ordinance No. 438, adopted and approved on the 4th day of June, 1951, is hereby amended to read as follows: "SECTION 13.01. ONE-WAY STREETS. In accordance with Section 5.01 and when properly signposted, traffic shall move only in the direction indicated upon the following streets : (a) On Azusa Avenue between First Street and Sierra Madre Avenue all traffic shall be in a northerly direction only. (b) On San Gabriel Canyon Road from its junction with Azusa Avenue to its junction with San Gabriel Avenue all traffic shall be in a northerly direction only. (c) On San Gabriel Avenue from its junction with San Gabriel Canyon Road to First Street all traffic shall be in a southerly direction only. (d) On Azusa Avenue between San Gabriel Canyon Road and Sierra Madre Avenue all traffic shall be in a northerly direction only. Subsections (a) , (b) and (c) of this Section shall become operative only upon the inclusion of San Gabriel Avenue from its junction with San Gabriel Canyon Road to or substantially to First Street as a part of the State Highway System as provided by Section 111.5 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, and upon said portion of San Gabriel Avenue being opened to one-way traffic and appropriate signs being erected by the Department of Public Works of the State of California." SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and shall publish the same as required by law. Passed and approved this 4th day of May , 1959.
