AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
O AZUSA PROHIBITING CERTAIN PERSONS FROM WORKING
OR LOITERING IN OR ABOUT ANY GYMNASIUM, BODY
BUILDING OR REDUCING STUDIO, MASSAGE PARLOR OR
TURKISH OR STEAM BATH ESTABLISHMENT.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does ordain as follows :
SECTION 1. No person registered or required to register under
the provisions of Section 290 of the Penal Code of the State of Cali-
fornia shall operate, manage or work in or about, either as owner,
proprietor, operator, manager, employee, or in any other capacity, with
or without pay, or shall loiter in or about any gymnasium, human body
building or reducing studio, salon or establishment, massage parlor or
Turkish or steam bath establishment.
SECTION 2. No owner, operator or manager of any gymnasium,
human body building or reducing studio, salon or establishment, massage
parlor or Turkish or steam bath establishment shall cause or permit
any person registered or required to register under the provisions of
Section 290 of the Penal Code of the State of California to operate,
manage, work in or about or loiter in or about such gymnasium, human
body building or reducing studio, salon or establishment, massage parlor
or Turkish or steam bath establishment.
SECTION 3. Any person violating any of the provisions of
this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction
thereof shall be punishable by a fine of not to exceed Five Hundred
Dollars or by imprisonment in the City Jail or County Jail of the
County of Los Angeles for not to exceed six months, or by both such
fine and imprisonment.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this ordinance and shall publish the same as required by law.

certify that the foregoing Ordinance No. 575 was regularly introduced
and placed upon its first reading at a regular meeting of the City
Council on the 7th day of July , 1958. That, thereafter, said
ordinance was duly adopted and passed at adjourned meeting of the City
Council on the ]nth day of July , 1958, by the following vote, to-wit:

NOES: Councilmen: None
ABSENT:Councilmen: None

I do further certify that I caused said Ordinance to be
published prior to the expiration of fifteen days from the passage
thereof in the Azusa Herald and Pomotropic, a newspaper of general
circulation, printed, published and circulated in the City of Azusa,
on the 21st day of July , 1958, and that the same was
published in accordance with law,
