AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 410 RELATING TO SUBDIVISION
IMPROVEMENTS, IECLARING THAT THE SAME IS URGENTLY NEEDED
FOR. THE PRESERVATION OF THE PUBLIC PEACE, HEALTH AND SAFETY,
AND RECITING THE FACTS CONSTITUTING SUCH URGENCY.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. Subdivision (b) of subsection A of Section 22 of
Ordinance No. 410, passed and approved the 17th day of January, 1919, is
hereby amended to read as follows:
"(b) Construction of concrete curbs, provided, however, that
the City Council may waive, upon such reasonable conditions as it
may impose, the requirement of concrete curbs in the M-1, M.2 and
W Zones."
SECTION 2. Subdivision (f) of subsection A of Section 22 of
said Ordinance No. 410 is hereby amended to read as follows:
"(f) Construction of concrete sidewalks not less than four (I )
feet wide and four (14) inches in thickness, provided, however, that the
City Council may waive, upon such reasonable conditions as it may
impose, the requirement of concrete sidewalks in the M-1, 21-2, and
if Zones."
SECTION 3. This ordinance is urgently needed for the immediate
preservation of the public peace, health and safety, The facts constituting
such urgency are as fellows: That one or more industrial subdivisions are
now ready for the construction of improvements, and the present required
improvements are not suitable for street design in said subdivisions and it
is imperative that the requirements be amended so that suitable design may
be obtained for the benefit of the public peace, health and safety.
SECTION ! . The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
ordinance and shall publish the same as required by law. This ordinance
shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
