HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 534 4 Y ir ORDINANCE NO. 534 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 416 RELATING TO THE PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION. The City Council of the City of Azusa does ordain as follows : SECTION 1. Section 2 of Ordinance No. 416, adopted March 7, 1949, is hereby amended to read as follows : "The Park and Recreation Commission shall consist of five members, each appointed for a three year term of office. Two members shall be appointed by the Mayor of the City of Azusa, subject to confirmation of the City Council. Two members to be appointed by the Mayor, subject to confirmation of the City Council, from persons recommended to the City Council for appointment by the Board of Trustees of the Azusa City School District. One member shall be selected by the above four appointees. "All members of the Commission shall be appointed for a term expiring on June 30th of the appropriate year and shall serve for the term provided herein and until their successors are appointed. " ,..x SECTION 2. Said Ordinance No. 416 is hereby amended by the addition thereto of a new Section 4-a reading as follows: "SECTION 4-a. In addition to the members of the Com- mission, the City Council shall appoint one member thereof as an advisory member of the Commission, the Superintendent of the Azusa City School District shall be an advisory member and one member of the Azusa School District Board of Trustees to be selected by said Board shall be an advisory member. All members to serve at the pleasure of the appointing power. Advisory members may participate in the deliberations of the Commission but shall have no vote." K'. SECTION 3. The City Clerkshall certify to the passage of this ordinance and shall publish the same as required by law.
