I9 2 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, STATE OF 3 CALIFORNIA, OF INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF EIGHTH STREET, IN SAID CITY OF AZUSA, AND 4 SETTING THE TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING ALL PARTIES INTERESTED IN OR OBJECTING TO THE 5 PROPOSED VACATION. 6 7 The City Council of the City of Azusa does hereby ordain 8 as follows : 9 Section 1. Notice is hereby given that the City Council 10 of the City of Azusa intends to vacate all of that portion of 11 Eighth Street, 60 feet wide, in Map of Azusa, as shown on a map 12 recorded in Book 15, pages 93 to 95 inclusive, of Miscellaneous 13 Records of Los Angeles County, California, lying between the 14 Westerly line of Angeleno Avenue, 80 feet wide, as shown on said 15 map, and the Easterly line of Sun-Set Avenue, 80 feet wide, as 16 shown on said map, reference to the maps on file in the office 17 of the City Clerk being hereby made for particulars. 18 Section 2. The City Council does hereby fix the hour of 19 7:30 o 'clock P. M. on June 16th, 1952, at the Council Chambers, 20 in the City Hall, City of Azusa, County of Los Angeles, State of 21 California, as the time for hearing all persons interested in 22 or objecting to the proposed vacation. 23 Section 3 . The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a 24 copy of this ordinance to be published in the Azusa Herald and 25 Pomotropic , a weekly newspaper of general circulation, published 26 in the City of Azusa, not less than fifteen days prior to June 16th, 27 1952, and to cause Notices of Vacation to be posted conspicuously 28 along the line of the street proposed to be vacated, said notices 29 to be placed not more than 300 feet apart and not less than three 30 notices shall be posted. Said notices shall state the passage of 31 this ordinance and the time and place of hearing above set forth, 32 said notices to be posted pursuant to the provisions of Section 1 0,Cieef„ Mrcl tet ! - , 1 $322 of the Street and Highway Code of the State of California, 2 and shall contain the information required therein. 3 Section 4 . The City of Azusa does hereby reserve and 4 ' exempt from vacation the permanent easements and the right from 5 time to time to construct, maintain, operate, replace and/or 6 remove pipe lines, cables, wires, poles and other equipment and 7 facilities for the operation of telephone and electric lines and 8 for the transportation of electric energy, water, and other 9 utilities. 10 Section 5. The City Council hereby determines that the 11 public convenience and necessity requires the reservation of 12 the easements and rights of way for the purposes enumerated 13 herein, and any and all proceedings taken pursuant to this or- 14 dinance are taken subject to such reservations and exceptions. 15 Section 6. That the street herein referred to is being 16 vacated and proceedings hereunder are pursuant to the provisions 17 of Division 9, Part 3, Chapter 2, of the Street and Highway 18 Code of the State of California. 19 Section 7.
