AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA
PROHIBITING DRUNKENNESS IN THE CITY OF AZUSA AND FPRE-
SCRIBING PUNISHMENT THEREFOR AND REPEALING AS OFG64- —
.3 , 1950, ORDINANCE NO. 22 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF AZUSA.
The City Council of the City of Azusa, in the County of
Los Angeles, State of California, does ordain as follows:
Section 1 . It shall be unlawful for any intoxicated person,
or any person in an intoxicated condition, willfully to appear,
remain or be in or on any public highway, street, alley, way,
park, playground, swimming pool or public place in the City
of Azusa, whether such person is or is not in or upon any
automobile, bus, street or interurban car, vehicle or conveyance.
Section 2 . It shall be unlawful for any intoxicated person,
or any person in an intoxicated condition, willfully to appear,
remain or be in or on any place open to public view or in any
store, railway, or bus depot, stadium, or other place to which
the public is admitted or invited, or in or on any private
premises or in any private house to the annoyance of any other
person.
Section 3. Any person violating any provisions of this
ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon
conviction therefor, shall be punished by a fine of not more
than five hundred 0500.00) dollars, or by imprisonment in the
City and/or County Jail for a period of not more than six (6)
months, or by both such fine and imprisonment .
Section i.. Ordinance No. 22 heretofore passed and adopted
by the City Council of the City of Azusa be and the same is
hereby repealled and said repeal shall be effective as of
, 1950.
Section 5. Thr. Mayor shall sign this Ordinance and the
City' Clerk shall attest same and certify to the passage of
this Ordinance and shall cause the same to be published once
in the Azusa Herald and Pomotropic,- a weekly newspaper of
general circulation, published and circulated in the City of
Azusa, which newspaper is hereby designated for this purpose .

and was published according to law.
