A. Los Angeles County Fire Department Weed Abatement Protest Hearing - Recommendation:
Conduct an informal protest hearing and refer any property owners with objections to the Los
Angeles County Fire Department Brush Clearance Office for consideration. 2. Approve the motion
and abatement order directing abatement of the nuisance removing all weeds, and rubbish from
the affected improved.parcels.

B. CONTINUED PUBLIC NUISANCE APPEAL- for the property located at 227 N. Azusa, Azusa, CA.
(Unpermitted Storage Yard). Johnny and Margaret Urquiza. Recommendation: Conduct public
nuisance appeal hearing pursuant to Section 14-419 of the Azusa Municipal Code, and waive
further reading and adopt Resolution No. 03-C6, denying the appeal with direction to the City
Attorney to seek an Injunction against unlawful uses and structures on the property.

C. MONROVIA NURSERY SPECIFIC PLAN AND PROJECT - (Public Hearing was held and testlmony
was taken at the City Council meeting of/anuary 21, 2003; the public hearing was then closed).
Recommendation: Based on compliance with the provisions of the Azusa Municipal Code and
conformance with the General Plan and CEQA guidelines, the Planning Commission recommends
to the City Council approval of the Monrovia Nursery project as follows:
