JOHNSON, DIRECTOR OF ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES DATE: FEBRUARY 3, 2020 SUBJECT: HUMAN RESOURCES ACTION ITEMS BACKGROUND: This action approves Personnel Action Requests reviewed and recommended by the Personnel Board. RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends the City Council take the following action: 1)Approve the following Personnel Action Requests in accordance with the City of Azusa Civil Service Rules and applicable Memorandum of Understanding(s). ANALYSIS: The Personnel Board reviewed the following recommendations of City Staff and approved the following actions in accordance with the City of Azusa Civil Service Rules. A.NEW APPOINTMENTS – The following appointments have been requested by the appropriate Department Heads pursuant to the Rules of the Civil Service System, Section 5.7.5. Appointment: DEPARTMENT NAME CLASSIFICATION EFFECTIVE DATE RANGE/STEP BASE MO. Police Kimberly Romo Police Records Specialist I 01/26/2020 – Clerical error regarding Step Placement on 01/21/2020 Agenda 9140/2 $3,389.42 Administrative Services Diana Reyes Administrative Technician 02/10/2020 4174/1 $4,351.71 APPROVED CITY COUNCIL 2/3/2020 Human Resources Action Items February 3, 2020 Page 2 FISCAL IMPACT: All proposed changes were approved with the FY 2019/20 Adopted Budget and/or are able to be absorbed with anticipated salary savings from the current year budget.
