CITY HALL AZUSA, CALIFORNIA WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 21, 1962
A regular adjourned meeting of the City Council of the City of
Azusa was scheduled to be held at the above time and place.

At the time set for the convening of the meeting the following Roll Call
Council members were present:
Present at Roll Call: Councilmen: Cooney, Ortuno
Absent: Councilmen: Memmesheimer, Jackson, McLees
Also Present: City Clerk Miller, City Attorney Williams,
Special Water Counsel Edward F. Taylor,
City Engineer Lawrence, Superintendent of
Light & Water Smith, City Administrator
Caswell, Planning Commission Members:
Teasley, Arkison, Kesler
Mayor Ortuno stated that since a quorum of members was not Lack of
present, this could not be considered a regular meeting for the Quorum
conduct of City business, However, since the City's water coun-
sel was present and the City Attorney, it would be advisable to
hear from them on whatever information they could give regarding
the water problems facing the City, and the progress of the Long
Beach water suit filed in 1958.
Special Counsel Taylor stated that the suit was nearing the
"pleading stage". Attorney Taylor and Attorney Williams spoke
to those present about the water problems facing the City and
the need of a future supplemental supply for the area. A de-
tailed verbatim report of this discussion session was taken by
stenographer, Mrs. Maroshek, which is on file as a record of the
discussion.
Discussion of the water problems and possible policy decisions
continued until 3:50 P.M. at which time all were excused and
permitted to leave the building.
