The City Administrator requested that Mr. Mack have his insur-
ance company send or bring in a report of insurance coverage
for the City Attorney to look over on June 19th.
The budget request of the Water Department was presented for
Council consideration. After discussion with Superintendent
of Light & Water Smith regarding estimated revenue, it was

Cooney and unanimously carried that as of the first meter
reading in September, 1963, the minimum amount of water to
the consumer will be 1,200 cu.ft.,and the minimum rate will
be increased from $1.50 to $2.25 per month up to and includ-
ing the 3/4" meters, and for the various sized meter over
and above 3/4" the raise should be proportionate; also all
water consumption over the minimum rate to be increased 1¢
per 100 cu.ft.
Councilman McLees left.the meeting at 8:55 P.M..,_
Regarding the budget of the Light/Power Department, there
was discussion regarding Object Account #370 as to miscel-
laneous meters for apartment houses for which $2,200 was re-
quested for 100 meters.

for budget study at the above time and place.

After discussion,'it was moved by Councilman Cooney, seconded
by Councilman Memmesheimer and unanimously carried that $8,800
be added to Object Account #370 to cover 400 additional meters
needed for new apartments.
Object Accounts Nos. 395 and 396 were omitted from the work
sheets of the budget but appeared on the summary. Object
Account #395 is for recording charts, in the amount of $50;
and Object Account #396 is for hydraulic winch on aerial
truck, in the amount of $450.
Superintendent Smith was asked to submit a breakdown of future
rate revenues on Water, using the estimated income from the
Water Department from last year for 11 months and adding the
month of June, plus the addition of the increased minimum rate
and the 1¢ increase per 100 cu.ft. over the minimum rate, in
order to arrive at an estimated or average revenue.
The budget request of the Fire Department was presented for
Council consideration.
After discussion of items considered capital outlay or opera-
tional, it was
Moved by Councilman Cooney, seconded by Councilman Memmesheimer
and unanimously carried that $2,695.65 be removed from Object
Account #230, that $1,075 be removed from Object Account #240,
and that $840 be removed from Obj6ct Account #255, and that
these amounts, totaling $4,610.65)be placed in Object Acct.#440.
