Motion failed by the following vote of Council: AYES: Councilmen: Cooney, Ortuno 'NOES: Councilmen: Memmesheimer, Jackson, MoLees ABSENT: Councilmen: None Moved by Councilman McLees, seconded by Councilman Cooney and unanimously carried that the Planning Commission contact Mr. Welsh to ascertain if he is interested in rezoning, and that the Planning Commission submit a further recommendation to Council. NW cor. to MPhe City Engineer read in full the two letters from James Citrus & Gladstone Welsh, Jr., owner of Lot 3, Tract 19809, which is a portion his (ref. to f proposed annexation #53. Mr. Welsh formally withdrew P1ng.Comm.) objection to the proposed rezoning and further stated he now wholeheartedly supports the rezoning. Mr. E. 0. Rodeffer; president of Rodeffer Industries,.Inc., 5435 North Peck Road, Arcadia, appeared before Council and stated that all parcels in the application should be included in the R-3 zone. Mr. V. McLeod, 1127 North Angeleno Avenue, appeared before Council inquiring as to the extent of boundaries covered by the proposed golf course and if the golf course would be included in the R-3 zone. Mr. Watson stated the golf course would not enter into the present request for zone change. Following discussion, it was �g Moved by Councilman Cooney, seconded by Councilman McLees that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare the necessary ordinance approving the zone change to "R-3" as stated in the 1 application with the following exceptions: I I I 15. Mayor Ortuno further stated that he had requested the -City Administrator to direct a letter to the Flood Control District, regarding possible conditions and restrictions, which letter was written October.11th, and a reply, should be received within a short time.
