The City Council of the City";of Azusa met"in'adjourned session ' for budget study at the above time and place. Mayor Memmesheimer,calied.the meeting to order. Call to Order Present at Roll Call: Councilmen: Rubio, Cooney,Jackson, Roll Call McLees, Memmesheimer Also Present: City Administrator Foxworthy, Supt 'of Light'& Water Smith, Personnel. Clerk. ' Parks, Deputy City Clerk Roehrich Mayor Memmesheimer recommended that Mrs. Camilla Williams' and Reapptmt. Mrs. Laura Jones''be reappointed to the Park and Recreation Mrs' Jones & Commission, for •a 3 -year term expiring 6/30/67, - Mrs. William to Pk,& Rec. M Moved by Councilman McLeis,�seconded by Councilman`Jackson Comm. Cr and unanimously carried that the Mayor's recommendations on, reappointments to tim Park &'Recreation Commission be; -accepted, pp and that a Resolution be prepared for each appointment The budget requests of the following Departments and Non- Budget Departmental Accounts were reviewed by Council: regts. reviewed Water:(Account #6000) Light & Power (Account000) Personnel .Account #50900. Insurance (Account #5131) . Dues & Memberships (Account #5137) Refunds - Prior ,Years (Account # 140) Land Acquisitions (Account.#5165 Central Stores (Account #4190) Tax Collections (Account #5195) Building Regulation (Account #5230) Civil Defense`(Account #5250) Parking Facilities (Account #5 3G) Street Lighting Account #5370 Traffic SignalsAccont #5371 15410) Health (Account Central Garage (Account #5720). Multilith (Account #5730) Mrs. Joan Parks, Personnel. Clerk, discussed with Council the 'Re: Salary salary survey and.explained the Personnel Board's recommendation Survey of 3%, plus the -addition of 2%.which was used to update the salary report: Mrs. Parks told Council that the same cities were used for this survey as were used by Gold -Thompson in their report. The City Administrator discussed the memo from Accounting Re: Program Director Reynolds, which recommended that'Clyde Blanchard & changing Associated, the City's insurance.carrier, proceed Math the exp. date program of placing all City insurance written by..their office ij4to 7/1/64 a fiscal basis, commencing July 1, 1964. This would on City's 'on necessitate an additional appropriation of $460 in Account Ins policies #5131, as the expiration date on some of the insurance policies would extend beyond the current -expiration date, but there will not be an increase in insurance costs because of this change. , Moved by Councilman McLees,.seconded by Councilman Cooney and unanimously carried that ':the recommendation.of Accounting Director Reynolds be -accepted. 'The Council agreed to.,the'request of the City Administrator for an additional $250 ,to beappropriated under.;Account.#5020, Object Account 260, for a population estimate for this year.
