SUBJECT: COMPRESSED NATURAL GAS (C.N.G.)USER AGREEMENT
WITH THE CITY OF COVINA
BACKGROUND:
On December 15, 1997 the City Council approved the purchase of five (5) alternate fuel trucks.
The trucks have the capacity of using petroleum fuel(gas) or compressed natural gas (C.N.G.).
NEED:
Staff has located the nearest C.N.G. fueling station at the City of Covina's City Yard. Staff from
both cities have drafted an agreement to allow the City of Azusa's C.N.G. trucks to use fuel at
the Covina City Yard, located at Barranca and San Bernardino Road.
AGREEMENT:
The proposed agreement has been reviewed,revised and finalized by both Azusa's and Covina's
staff as well as legal consul.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff is requesting Councils approval of the City of Covina C.N.G. Fuel Agreement and
authorize the Mayor, City Clerk, City Administrator and City Attorney to execute the agreement.
