Mayor Memmesheimer called the meeting to order and led in salute to the flag. Present at Roll Call: Councilmen: Rubio, Cooney, Solem McLees, Memmesheimer Also Present: City Attorney Williams, City Administrator Foxworthy, City Engineer Sandwick, Superin- tendent of Light & Water Smith, City Clerk Miller The Minutes of the 12/20/65 meeting were appoved as written. The City Clerk announced that bids were oppened in his office at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 4, 1966, for the furnishing of all switchgear and fixtures for sports lighting system at Memorial Park. The City Clerk presented the affidavit tion of the Notice Inviting Bids in the qdd N tropic on 12/23-30, 1965. Two bids were received, as follows: G D E.S.D. The hour of 7:30 p.m. being the time set for the public 'hearing on the appeal from denial of a zone change from R -lc to C-2, at 101, 105 & 109 N. Alameda Avenue, (Case Z-131 - Planning Commission Resolution #575 - F. Luevanos, M. Ontiveros, A. Rocha), the Mayor declared the hearing open. Kenneth Whitely, 1796 W. Lincoln, Anaheim addressed Council in favor of the zone change. Mrs. Susan Femino, 236 N. San Gabriel Ave., Azusa, Joe Hernandez, 334 E. Foothill Blvd. and L. M. Morrical, 1786 W. Lincoln, Anaheim addressed Council opposing zone change. Moved by Councilman Rubio, seconded by Councilman Cooney and unanimously carried to close the hearing. The appointment by the Mayor of new member to Planning Commis- sion which had been tabled was again brought before Council. Moved by Counc Rubio, seconded by Councilman Cooney and unanimously carried to raise from table. Mayor Memmeshimer appointed W. Wesley Kloepfer as new member of the Planning Commission. 'Moved by Councilman Rubio, seconded by Councilman Cooney and carried to approve the appointment. Councilman McLees voted no. A notice was received from Alcoholic Beverage Control of Persone to Person transfer application for On -Sale Beer License from Mary M. Harriman to Jerry E. Evans, at 347 S. Irwindale Avenue.
