RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF AZUSA AUTHORIZING CIRCULATION OF DRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT FOR THE PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE REDEVELOPMENT PLANS FOR MERGED CENTRAL BUISNESS DISTRICT AND WEST END REDEVELOPMENT PROJECTS, SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING THEREON, AND AUTHORIZING PUBLICATION OF NOTICE OF COMPLETION AND AVAILABILITY OF DRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT AND PUBLIC HEARING THEREON WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Azusa will prepare a Draft Environmental Impact Report (“Draft EIR”) for the proposed Amendments to the Redevelopment Plans for the Merged Central Business District and West End Redevelopment Projects in accordance with the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), the State CEQA Guidelines, and local procedures adopted pursuant thereto. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Azusa as follows: 1. The Draft EIR, upon completion of the Notice of Preparation review period, will be received by the Agency as the Agency’s Draft EIR for the proposed Amendments to the Redevelopment Plans for the Merged Central Business District and West End Redevelopment Projects for purposes of circulation for review and comment by public agencies and members of the public. Such comments shall be received by the Agency at its office pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act review requirements. 2. A public hearing to receive comments on the Draft EIR is hereby set for June 2, 2003 at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers, Azusa City Hall, Azusa, California. 3. The Executive Director of the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Azusa is hereby authorized and directed to: a) File a Notice of Completion with the State Office of Planning and Research in accordance with Section 15085 of the State of California Environmental Quality Act Guidelines (California Administrative Code); b) Provide for the distribution of the Draft EIR for comment from public agencies and others as applicable with respect to the Amendments; and c) Publish notice twice in the Azusa Herald advising the public of the completion and availability of the Draft EIR for review and comment by the public, and of the public hearing thereon for such purpose. Copies of the Draft EIR shall be maintained for public inspection during the comment period commencing May 12, 2003, at the Agency’s office and the City’s libraries.
