BACKGROUND On April 22, 2003 the Personnel Board confirmed the following Department Head recommendation(s) regarding the following Personnel Action request(s). MERIT INCREASE AND/OR REGULAR APPOINTMENT: DEPARTMENT NAME CLASSIFICATION TYPE OF ACTION EFFECTIVE DATE RANGE/STEP BASE MO. SALARY Utilities Tim Vuong Power Resource Scheduler Reg. Appt./Merit Inc. 04-21-03 4238/2 $5,538.86 The following promotional appointments have been requested by department head(s) pursuant to the Rules of the Civil Service System. PROMOTIONAL APPOINTMENT: DEPARTMENT NAME CLASSIFICATION EFFECTIVE DATE RANGE/STEP BASE MO. SALARY Public Works Roy Chavez Park Maintenance Supervisor 05-06-03 4196/4 $4,495.58 FISCAL IMPACT There is no fiscal impact, as positions listed are funded in approved departmental budgets. Salary savings realized from vacant positions are utilized to underfill positions with temporary hires and/or to offset overtime costs.
