BACKGROUND On June 10, 2003, the Personnel Board confirmed the following Department Head recommendation regarding the following Personnel Action requests. A.MERIT INCREASE AND/OR REGULAR APPOINTMENT: DEPARTMENT NAME CLASSIFICATION ACTION / EFFECTIVE DATE RANGE/STEP BASE MO. SALARY Finance Charles Alvarez Storekeeper Merit Increase 04-05-03 5172/5 $3,798.92 Police Dennis Tremblay Police Officer Merit Inc. 05-13-03 6101/4 $4,613.81 B. NEW APPOINTMENT: The following appointments have been requested by department heads pursuant to the Rules of The Civil Service System. DEPARTMENT NAME CLASSIFICATION EFFECTIVE DATE RANGE/STEP BASE MO. SALARY Public Works Mike Larruso Facilities Maint. Supervisor Pending Physical 4196/4 $4,495.58 C.FLEXIBLE STAFFING PROMOTION: The following promotional appointments have been requested by department head(s) pursuant to the Rules of the Civil Service System. DEPARTMENT NAME CLASSIFICATION FROM/TO EFFECTIVE DATE RANGE/STEP BASE MO. SALARY Public Works Jose A. Toledo From: Street Mt. Worker II To: Street Mt. Worker III 07-01-02 4174/4 $3,644.09 FISCAL IMPACT There is no fiscal impact, as positions listed are funded in approved department budgets. Salary savings realized from vacant positions are utilized to underfill positions with temporary hires and/or to offset overtime costs. APPROVED AT THE MEETING OF JUNE 16, 2003
