SUBJECT: APPROVAL OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATION TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS – MEMORIAL PARK
HVAC REPLACEMENTS PROJECT
RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Council approve the Memorial Park HVAC Replacements Project plans
and specification and authorize the City Clerk to advertise for bids.
BACKGROUND
Several of the existing air conditioning units at the Memorial Park are in need of replacement. Through
the use of the Electric Public Benefits fund, the units may be replaced for improved energy efficiency. A
total of nine units will be replaced with 12-shear Carrier make units, or City approved equals:
1. A 5- ton gas and electric Graffers & Sattler
2. A 2- ton York gas & electric
3. Two- 2.5 ton York gas & electric
4. Two- 3- ton York electric heating & cooling
5. A 3- ton Carrier gas and electric
6. A 3.5 ton carrier gas & electric
7. A 1.5 ton Fedder’s gas & electric
FISCAL IMPACT
Engineer’s estimate of the project is $45,000 from the following funding sources:
24-40-739-082-6625/MMuniB-6625 (Electric Public Benefit Fund)
