Invocation was given by Reverend B. J. Paroulek of First Invocation Presbyterian Chruch. The Accounting Director submitted a request that the NCR Repair of bookkeeping machine be repaired. The cost to be $1,250. NCR machine and includes a 2 year warranty. Notice was also given that the Planning Commission by Resolution No. 578 recommended an amendment to the Municipal Code re: "Auto Wrecking Yards" and Junk Yard Establishments" under M-2 zone, by removing uses #4 & #33 from Sec. 9215.20 (a) and adding same to 9215.20(b). Council hearing set for 1/17/66. An Ordinance was presented for second reading and adoption amending Section 5210.7 of the Municipal Code re: rubbish and /or garbage collection fees. A memo was received requesting authorization by the City Engineer to serve as Chairman of the Committee of the East San Gabriel Valley Planning Commission, studying proposed Huntington Beach Freeway. Moved by Councilman Solem, seconded by Councilman Cooney and unanimously carried to approve the City Engineer as Chairman of the ESGV Planning Commission. It was the recommendation of the City Engineer to vacate a portion of the south side of Gladstone Street, varying in width from 5.15' on the west to 6.55' on the east, for approximately 1901. Councilman McLees offered the -Resolution entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE A CERTAIN PORTION OF GLADSTONE STREET.
