The City Council of the City of Azusa met in Special
Session at the above time and place.
Mayor Memmesheimer called the meeting to order. Call to Order
Present at Roll Call: Councilmen: Rubio, Cooney, Solem, Roll Call
McLees, Memmesheimer
Also Present: City Administrator Foxworthy, Deputy
City Clerk Roehrich, City Clerk Miller
Notices of the Special Meeting for delivery to members Noticeof
of the City Council were received in the office of the Special
' City Clerk by Police Officer Raymond M. Davey, Investiga- Meeting
tor, at the hour of 3:50 p.m. on Monday, March 28, 1966.
The following is the Notice of Special Meeting:
"By order of the Mayor, there will be a SPECIAL
MEETING OF THE MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF AZUSA, to be held in the Council
Chambers at 6:00 o'clock P.M., on Tuesday, the
29th day of March, 1966, for the purpose of:
Acting on application for Permit for one -day
Auction at 643 N. Azusa Avenue, on Saturday,
April 2, 1966.

A copy of the Notice of Special Meeting was delivered
to each of the following members of the City Council at
the date and time set forth after his name:

Councilman Rubio signed a waiver of notice of this
special meeting, which is on file in the City Clerk's
Office.
The Mayor noted Councilman Rubio may abstain from voting
if he wishes, as he did not have 24 hours advance notice
of this special meeting and has signed a waiver.
The City Clerk presented the applicationfor a one -day
auction of a retail shade, paint, floor covering,
etc., business at 643 N. Azusa Avenue, owned by Charles
B. McLees, to be held Saturday, April 2, 1966. The
auctioneer will be Mr. Keith Cullum of Cullum Auction
Service„ 1855 Grier Street, Pomona. Also, an inventory
of the merchandise to be auctioned off has been submitted
and is available for Councilmen's approval if they so
desire.
Moved by,Councilman Solem, seconded by Councilman Rubio
that permission be granted for the one -day auction as
requested.
Motion carried by the following vote of Council:
AYES: Councilmen: Rubio, Cooney, Solem, Memmesheimer
NOES: Councilmen: None
ABSENT: Councilmen: None
ABSTAIN: Councilmen: McLees
Moved by Councilman Solem, seconded by Councilman Cooney
and unanimously carried that the meeting be adjourned.
