Moved by Councilman Cooney, seconded by Councilman Rubio and unanimously carried that any Councilman is authorized to attend the Conference in Los Angeles on 10/13/66. ' A question was presented regarding the regular meeting of 10/17/66. Moved by Councilman Cooney, seconded by Councilman Rubio and unanimously carried that it is the intent of Council that the regular meeting scheduled for 10/17/66 shall be held on 10/20/66 at 7:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers, and that any authorized person shall adjourn said meeting of 10/17/66. The Planning Commission requested Council to confirm the Appt.Jack R. appointment of Mr. Jack R. Smith, as Planning Director, Smith as Plan. probationary, at Step 1, effective 10/24/66, subject to Dir.prob.at satisfactory passing of physical examination; also retention step l,effec. of Johnston C. Craig as Planning Consultant for a minimum 10/24/66. period of 30 days after 10/24/66.
