Re: Encanto Parkway. Acting City Attorney reported ttft
encroachment permit is not needed to guarantee access
to Mr. Thorsen - only a right of access - and an Access
Agreement will be prepared for 12/4/67 meeting.
Acting City Attorney reported that PUC hearings on
Cerritos Avenue grade crossing have been concluded
and a decision will be forthcoming.
City Administrator reported that the proposed Ground
Wire Agreement with the General Telephone Company
had been reviewed by City Attorney Williams and the
suggested changes were approved by the Telephone Co.
Also, the revised Agmt. has been approved by Acting
City Attorney as to form.

Calvert and unanimously carried to instruct Acting City prepare Ord. re:
Attorney to prepare Ordinance adopting a deed transfer Transfer Tax
tax in conformance with SB 837 (to replace federal
deed stamp tax which expires 12/31/67).
City Administrator reported on progress of obtaining Rpt. on obtainin
land on W.S. Alameda Avenue (700 block) for Police land for Police
Facilities Bldg. He has requested title reports on Bldg.
parcels involved, but has received only one report back,
to date. Re: meeting at Santa Rosa with officials on
EOC, City Administrator reported the basement area for
EOC was approved; also the plan has been approved by the
Police Chief and Police Captain.
City Clerk distributed to Council members a report on a Rpt, on Federal
Council study of California state government's role in Urban Programs
federal urban programs, received from Intergovernmental
Council on Urban Growth.
Moved by Councilman Solem, seconded by Councilman
c� Mc Lees and unanimously carried to authorize City
M Administrator to write a letter to City of Glendora,
to be signed by Mayor, requesting them to install a
x standard self -registering meter at their pumping
Q station and well in Azusa, for the purpose of measuring
C the water, in accordance with requirements of the 1921
indenture, said measuring device to be approved by Super-
intendent of Water Department; to submit precise plan to
the Planning Commission for approval; and to obtain a
building permit -- all of the above requests to be
taken care of within 60 days from the date of the
letter to be written.
