The City Council of the City of Azusa met in regular
session at the above time and place.
Mayor Cooney called the meeting to order. The flag Call to Order
salute was led by Mayor Cooney.
Invocation was given by Reverend John K. Swift of Invocation
Edgewood Methodist Church.

Mayor Cooney read a letter from Supervisor Bonelli re: Lark Ellen Home
Zone Exception Case #8686-(1) - Lark Ellen Home for for Boys
Boys - which gave a report of his actions in this matter
which he is reviewing, and informing the Mayor he will
keep him apprised.
Request received for application for business license to
solicit and paint house numbers on City curbs by Don
' Cornell, of Covina.
Moved by Councilman Rubio, seconded by Councilman
Solem and unanimously carried to deny request and
send letter to applicant as to Council policy.
After discussion of the weed growth and the holes in
the parking lot of Azusa Square Shopping Center, it
was the consensus of Council that a letter be sent to
Nathan Krems, Boys Market and Thrifty's re: clean-up
of weeds, and also request Mr. Krems to patch up the
holes in the parking lot.
Mayor Cooney informed Council he has accepted appointment
by Mayor Yorty to serve as member of Committee to suport
bid to have Los Angeles designated as American City to
host 1976 Olympic Games.
Councilman Mc Lees presented a table decoration made by
Cub Scout Pack 416 for the Freedom Festival which he
attended, and requested it be displayed in the City
Clerk's Office.

Mayor Cooney informed Council he has accepted appointment
by Mayor Yorty to serve as member of Committee to suport
bid to have Los Angeles designated as American City to
host 1976 Olympic Games.
Councilman Mc Lees presented a table decoration made by
Cub Scout Pack 416 for the Freedom Festival which he
attended, and requested it be displayed in the City
Clerk's Office.
Moved by Councilman Rubio, seconded by Councilman
Solem and unanimously carried to adjourn.
