The City Council of the City of Azusa met in adjourned
regular session at the above time and place.
Mayor Solem called the meeting to order. Call to Order
Present at Roll Call: Councilmen: Rubio, Decker, Calvert, Roll Call

Also present: City Administrator Foxworthy, City Clerk
Klarr, Recreation Director Dangleis, Public
Work DirectorSandwick.
The following items of the proposed budget for 1968-69
were submitted to Council by City Administrator Foxworthy:
Account No. 5651 - Recreation
Account No. 5310 - Engineering
t_ Account No. 5320 - Public Works
I Account No. 5611 - Parks
J� Account No. 5090 - Government Buildings
A proposed program by the Recreation Department to provide
Monday playground supervision for the schools, which was
originally requested by certain school principals, was
rejected by the school district. Therefore, this allows a
reduction in the proposed budget request by $1,300 in the
area of part-time personnel.
Councilman Cooney entered the meeting at 7:57 p.m.

and unanimously carried that budget requests re: Account (Recreation)
No. 5651 (Recreation) be approved with the exception of the
Objects 300 and 400 and salaries.

The Council recessed to enter Executive Session at 8:12 p.m. Exec.Session
to discuss the pending Public Utilities Hearing regarding Re:P.U.C.

The Council reconvened from Executive Session at 8:43 p.m. Cncl.Reconv.
No action was taken by the Council on the matter discussed.

Moved by Councilman Calvert, seconded by Councilman Rubio,
and unanimously carried that due to the fact that the air
conditioner is being replaced in the Police and Personnel
building now and this was a proposed budget item, the Object
440 of Account No. 5090 (Government Buildings) be reduced
by $2,000 which was the budgeted amount for th6 replacement.
Moved by Councilman Calvert, seconded by Councilman Cooney,
'and unanimously carried that budget requests re: Account
No. 5090 (Government Buildings) be approved except Objects
300 and 400 and salaries.

Councilman Rubio announced that the scheduled meeting of
the Downtown Study Committee set for May 29, 1968, has been
postponed until June 6, 1968.
Moved by Councilman Rubio, seconded by Councilman Cooney,
and unanimously carried that the meeting be adjourned.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:32 p.m.
