The City Council of the City of Azusa met in adjourned
regular session at the above time and place.
The Mayor called the meeting to order.
Present at Roll Call: Councilmen: Decker, Cooney, Calvert,
Solem
Absent at Roll Call: Councilmen: Rubio
'The Mayor asked that the department heads make their
presentations regarding requests for salary adjustments
to offset alleged inequities in specified classifications.
Councilman Rubio entered the meeting at 7:24 P.M.
The following department heads made their presentations

Director. of Public Works Sandwick requested adjust -
;.i,, -men ;to $3,241. He also requested that cer-
in -fain capital improvements be retained, totaling
$5,350:
Recreation Director Dangleis recommended a salary
adjustment for his position, totaling $1,884.
Fire Chief Madison requested adjustments totaling
$2,700. plus initiation of a longevity pay program.

Police Chief Elkins presented a salary Adjustment
totaling approximately $3,000.
Planning Director Smith presented a survey of 26
cities and recommended the salary range for his
position be equated to that of the City of Covina.
Acting Superintendent of Light & Water Gerharz
presented a suggested salary adjustment for the
Department, totaling $7,971.00
City Clerk Klarr recommended a 3.5% in salary
adjustment for the Accounting Director, totaling
$418.
Personnel Clerk Parks explained the intentions and
resources of the Personnel Board salary survey recom-
mendations.

and unanimously carried.that the meeting be adjourned until
Saturday, June 29, 1968, at 10:30 A.M., in the Azusa Audi-
torium.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:18 P.M.
