HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 2021-C32RESOLUTION NO.2021-C32 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, CALIFORNIA, IDENTIFYING THE PROJECTS TO BE FUNDED WITH ROAD MAINTENANCE AND REHABILITATION ACCOUNT FUNDS WHEREAS, the City of Azusa is eligible to receive Road Maintenance and Rehabilitation Account (RMRA) Funds, through the California State Controller; and, WHEREAS, prior to receiving an apportionment of RMRA funds from the State Controller in a fiscal year, the City must submit to the California Transportation Commission a list of projects proposed to be funded with RMRA funds; and, WHEREAS, all projects proposed to receive RMRA funding must be included in a city budget that is adopted by the applicable city council at a regular public meeting; and, WHEREAS, the following project is proposed to be funded with the Fiscal Year 2021- 2022 apportionment of RMRA Funds: Title: Residential Roadway Rehabilitation Project Description: This project will rehabilitate the pavement on several residential streets listed below with the proposed treatment. o This project will rehabilitate the pavement on several residential streets with Cape Seal treatment. Those Streets include the following: Street Name Limits of Rehabilitation 1. Louise Avenue —Sixth Street to Northerly Terminus 2. Lemon Avenue —Fifth Street to Northerly Terminus 3. Lime Street — Lemon Avenue to Orange Avenue 4. Angeleno Avenue — Foothill Boulevard to Fourth Street 5. Fifth Street to Virginia Avenue to San Gabriel Avenue 6. Zachary Padilla Avenue— Fifth Street to Bayless Avenue 7. Bayless Street - Zachary Padilla Avenue to Virginia Avenue 8. Virginia Avenue — Fifth Street to Fourth Street 9. Fourth Street — Virginia Avenue to Orange Avenue 10. Barbara Avenue — Fifth Street to Southerly Cul-de-sac 11. Bayless Street — Vernon Avenue to Orange Avenue 12. Hollyvale Street — Vernon Avenue to Orange Avenue 13. Orange Avenue — Fourth Street to Third Street 14. Third Street — Westerly Cul-de-sac to San Gabriel Avenue 15. Duell Street — Westerly Cul-de-sac to Angeleno Avenue o This project will rehabilitate the pavement on several residential streets with a Slurry Seal treatment. Those Streets include the following: Street Name Limits of Rehabilitation 1. Virginia Avenue — Foothill Boulevard to Fifth Street 2. Barbra Avenue — Sixth Street to Fifth Street 3. Vernon Avenue — Santa Fe Avenue to Hollyvale Street 4. Santa Fe Avenue to Westerly Cul-de-sac to Vernon Avenue 5. Louise Avenue — Sixth Street to Fifth Street 6. Orange Avenue — Foothill Boulevard to Fourth Street 7. Sunset Avenue — Foothill Boulevard to Fifth Street 8. Angeleno Avenue — Fourth Street to First Street 9. San Gabriel Avenue — Second Street to First Street 10. Orange Avenue — Third Street to Second Street 11. Second Street — Orange Avenue to San Gabriel Avenue 12. Fourth Street — Angeleno Avenue to San Gabriel Avenue 13. Fifth Street — Westerly Terminus to Virginia Avenue 14. Sixth Street — Virginia Avenue to San Gabriel Avenue o This project will rehabilitate the pavement on 4th Street with a new 4-inch Asphalt section). The limits of these improvements are as listed below: Street Name Limits of Rehabilitation 1. Fourth Street — Orange Avenue to Angeleno Avenue Proposed Completion Date: July 2022 Estimated Useful Life: 10-15 years without major repair work required. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Approves programming the Residential Roadway Rehabilitation Project in the 2021-2022 Fiscal Year budget. SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify the adoption of this resolution.
