The City Council of the City of Azusa met in adjourned
regular session at the above time and place.
Mayor Solem called the meeting to order. Call to Order
Present at Roll Call: Councilmen: Rubio, Decker, Cooney, Roll Call

Also Present: City Administrator Foxworthy, Recreation
Director Dangleis, Police Chief Elkins,
Deputy City Clerk Roehrich
The budget requests of the following Departments and Budget reqs.
Non -Departmental Accounts were reviewed by Council: reviewed
Recreation (Account #5651)
Police (Account #5210)
Animal Regulation (Account #5240)
City Attorney (Account #5060)
The City Administrator called attention to the memo from Recreation
the Recreation Director which requested a 10% increase cc 5 51)
in hourly rates for part-time personnel and the new
classification of Assistant Pool Manager, which shows a
total increase of $7511 in the proposed budget.
Re: Object Account #255 under Recreation Department, it Obj.Acct.#255
was suggested that $500 be added to the amount requested, increased by
for craft and playground supplies. $500
Moved by Councilman Cooney, seconded by Councilman Decker
and unanimously carried that $500 be added to Object
Account #255, under Account #5651, making a new total of
$7,400.
Moved by Councilman Cooney, seconded by Councilman Decker
and unanimously carried that the Recreation Budget (Account
No 5651) be approved as amended, except for personnel, and
Object Accounts #330 and #440, which will be considered at
a later meeting.
Re: Object Account #260 under Police Department, after

A letter from tjity Attorney Terzian was presented to Council, C.Atty's req.
in which he suggested that his usual weekly visits to City granted for
Hall, to speak with the City Administrator, City Clerk and modification

Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilman Cooney
and unanimously carried that the Director of Utilities be
requested to determine whether or not there should be an
increase in golf course water rates, and to refer to the
City Attorney if necessary re: any legal question.
Moved by Councilman Rubio, seconded by Councilman Cooney
and unanimously carried to adjourn the meeting to Saturday,
June 7, 1969, at 10:00 a.m. in the Azusa Auditorium.
