Call to Order Present at Roll Call: Councilmen: Rubio, Decker, Cooney, Calvert, Solem Roll Call ' Also Present: City Attorney Terzian, City Administrator Foxworthy, Acting'Planning Director Fitz- simmons, City Clerk Klarr The City Attorney presented an urgency ordinance for the Urggency Ord. regulation of topless and bottomless entertainment. x}980 re: Topless & Councilman Decker offered the Ordinance entitled: Bottomless entertain. AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA AMENDING THE AZUSA MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADDING THERETO A NEW PART 8.5 OF CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE IV RELATING TO PHYSICAL EXPOSURE OF WAITERS, WAITRESSES AND ENTERTAINERS AND DECLARING THE URGENCY THEREOF. Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilman Rubio and unanimously carried by roll call that further reading be waived. Moved by Councilman Decker, seconded by Councilman Rubio that the Ordinance be adopted. The Ordinance was passed and adopted by the following vote of Council: AYES: Councilmen: Rubio, Decker, Cooney, Calvert, Solem NOES: Councilmen: None ABSENT: Councilmen: None and numbered Ordinance 980 The Acting Planning Director submitted to Council maps and Proposed copies of the reasons opposing the proposed Northerly boundary for Annexation #27 of the City of Glendora. possible annexations After discussion it was the consensus of the Council to by Azusa propose the easterly boundary line of possible Azusa annexations to Barranca Avenue northerly to the ridge of the Glendora Mountains, then northeasterly along the ridge. Pursuant to the discussions with the Glendora City Council, Azusa to be rep it was felt that the City of Azusa should be represented at at L.A.F. Com. the meeting of the Local Agency Formation Commission on 11/26/69 November 26, 1969. The City Administrator was requested to contact Supervisor F. Bonelli to Frank Bonelli and invite him to tour the canyon area with the tour canyon Council on November 19, 1969, to be followed with lunch and 11/19/69 discussion of the proposed Glendora annexation. The Council was informed that Assemblyman Harvey Johnson Mtg. re: Flood would be meeting with representatives of the Foothill Cities, disaster preven- in Duarte at the Sportsman's Tavern on Thursday, November tion in Duarte 13, 1969, at 12:00 noon. The Mayor, City Administrator, and Director of Public Works indicated that they would attend. The Council requested that the Planning Department provide a map showing the exact easterly boundary of the City and the mountain ridge. 'The Mayor reminded those present of the opening of theFwy. opening new freeway on November 21, 1969, at 10:30 a.m. Those 11/21/69 who indicated that they would attend the opening and 10:30 a.m. the luncheon afterward were: The Mayor, Councilman Calvert, Councilman Rubio, City Administrator Foxworthy, Director of Public Works Sandwick, and the City Clerk Klarr. Moved by Councilman Cooney, seconded by Councilman Calvert, Adj. 2:52 p.m. and unanimously carried to adjourn.
