The City Council of the City of Azusa met in adjourned
special session at the above time and place.
Mayor Jens J. Solem called the meeting to order. Call to Order
Present at Roll Call: Councilmen: Rubio, Decker, Roll Call
Calvert, Solem

Moved by Councilman Calvert, seconded by Councilman Recess to joint
Rubio and unanimously carried that the Council recess mtg. with Glen -
to the Old Hickory Restaurant in Glendora to meet with dora City Cncl.
the City Council of Glendora to jointly discuss matters re: Glend. prop.
pertaining to the Glendora Proposed Annexation. annexation
Council was recessed at 12:06 p.m. Council re-
cessed
Council reconvened and the Mayor called the meeting
to order at 2:31 p.m.
Acting Planning Director Fitzsimmons addressed the
Council regarding the joint discussion. He noted
Glendora was not sure of the possible action of the
Local Agency Formation Commission or else they would
not have proposed the compromise. The compromise
offered a joint powers control of the Canyon which is
what the City of Azusa had proposed to L.A.F. Com-
mission. Therefore, if Azusa refuses this compromise,
it may swing the attitude of L.A.F. Commission to
favor Glendora, He recommended the acceptance of the
compromise.
The City Administrator reiterated the above points,
and noted that under the compromise, Azusa may
actually be able to annex up behind Glendora at the
fork of the River.
After considerable discussion by the Council, it was
Moved by Councilman Calvert, seconded by Councilman
Rubio and unanimously carried to adjourn.
The meeting was adjourned at 3:10 p.m.
