Mayor Jens J., Solem called the meeting to order. Call to Order U Present at Roll Call: Councilmen: Rubio, Decker Roll Call Calvert, Solem. Mr. Robert R. Snyder as a member of the City Council Snyder sworn appointed December 15, 1969, to fill the vacancy in as member left by Edward A. Glendora City Council. Annexation He stated that he had met with the Glendora City Manager and that the Azusa amendment had not been accepted by the Glendora City Council. However, he had worked with the Glendora City Manager, with the participation of some of the Glendora Council members in preparing an agreement which would alter the proposed boundaries and be agreeable to Glendora. The agreement would stipulate that Glendora's annex- ation would not cross the river at any point, con- tingent upon Azusa"s agreement to agree to a removal of the water indenture governing water extraction from the Azusa basin by Glendora. Such agreement would be entered into immediately after the present water adjudication is completed and Glendora is allocated a definite pumping right. The agreement would also reinstate the original "gentlemen's agreement" regarding the north -south boundary for annexations between the cities of Azusa and Glendora, with its northerly terminus being the northerly boundary of the proposed annexation. Further, the agreement would stipulate that no un- ilateral changes to this agreement could be made without a joint meeting of the Councils of both Cities. Council requested that an additional item (Item Number 8) be included which would require that the Councils of both Cities review this agreement every four years. Moved by Councilman Calvert, seconded by Councilman Decker and unanimously carried by Roll Call that the agreement be approved with the addition of Item 8, and that the agreement be placed in proper legal form by the City Attorney. The City Administrator reminded Council that it had Permission recently approved the specifications for five new grntd. to re - vehicles to be advertised for bid. It appears that tract one fl - one of the vehicles listed as trade-in in the Liht ton truck L'tW) and Water Department, (a 1962 Ford J -ton pick-upl, frm. bid call is needed to be retained by that department. Moved by Councilman Calvert, seconded by Councilman Decker and unanimously carried by roll call that per- mission to retract this vehicle from the possible trade-ins be granted. Moved by Councilman Rubio, seconded by Councilman Adjournment Calvert, and unanimously carried that the meeting be adjourned. The meeting was adjourned at 12:59 p.m. C' r
